At SH, we focus on team spirit and having fun together in a positive, constructive environment. Practices combine a warm-up, technique work and games.

03 / Our history
Water polo at SH
since 1959.
1945
The club was founded, and swim training took place in an open-air pool at Krosseyrarmalir.
1953
Reconstruction of the pool was completed. Now finally roofed, it was renamed Sundhöll Hafnarfjarðar.
1959
Water polo was first trained at the club.
1963
SH competed in the Icelandic National Championship in water polo for the first time.
2008
After a long break, the water polo division was revived when the club moved to the then brand-new 50 m indoor pool at Ásvellir.
2024
Water polo is still going strong at the club, and the player count grows slowly but steadily.
